BEHIND THE BRAND

Rebecca Zaatar is a Beirut born and bred fashion designer. Fascinated from a very young age by the imaginative and limitless universe of art and design, she diligently pursued her passion for painting, photography and fashion throughout the years.

In 2009, Rebecca graduated from the École supérieure des arts et techniques de la mode in Beirut, also dubbed as ESMOD, where she was discovered by the acclaimed designer Elie Saab. She promptly joined his brand’s creative department and worked closely with him for 7 years. In April 2016, she launched her own clothing line, THYM.

THYM is a brand that celebrates the woman of today. This woman is multifaceted, versatile, paradoxical and so complex. The woman of today does it all, and can be anything she wants, even if those things are seemingly opposite. She’s a domestic goddess yet a successful businesswoman, square and rigid yet round and soft, simple yet likes to stand out, strong yet delicate, refined yet edgy.

The new feminine is plural; and THYM’s designs are essentially a reflection of that. Just like the contemporary woman, her pieces don’t fit in a box, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Rebecca aims to dress women from all walks of life, one piece at a THYM.
